Title: How to get a Cotton?

I just founded out that there's a pink (rare?) bluebell spawn thats called "Cotton" and I wanna know how do you get it.

If you kill a cotton, it drops a key which you use to unlock the giant rock outside the gnat nest.
Cottons are a rare spawn, though, and they only spawn once every couple weeks.
