Hi,
A lot of gloves work really well for warriors, so even if you don't have the absolutely best gloves available, you can get very close with the right kind of equipments.
If you're just starting out, you can make yourself Spiked Gloves. These are an excellent start, and they'll last you a long while:
- To make them, you need to get a leather glove first - these can drop from Fliffies, but you can also buy them in Saliko Village. You'll also receive one from Farmer Jack while doing his quests.
- Next, you need to get a Large Gnat Sting. It drops from Zandra in the Abandoned Burrow, which is south-west of Saliko Village. Zandra can drop multiple items, so if you don't get it at your first try, just check back later.
Once you have these gloves, you should do a very decent amount of damage with them.
If you plan on playing a defensive warrior, Cladt Scytheclaw drops Rugged Tiger Gloves.
- Cladt Scytheclaw is the second boss in the Hollow Tree (a level 15 dungeon). To get to him, defeat Vilefang, and continue on past the second floor. Once you are outside the tree again, instead of going up to the third floor, run off the branch. You'll land on a large branch that'll lead to Cladt's hideout.
- Rugged Tiger Gloves don't do a lot of damage - they Spiked Gloves beat them in damage any time. However, they have a large amount of armour, so they'll help you mitigrate damage instead. Still, this only benefits you if you're the person that bosses usually wail around on.
Noxxara drops a Sharp Spine Spike, which you can use to make Spine Gloves.
- Noxxara is the third boss in the Hollow Tree. The Sharp Spine Spike only drops in hard-mode, which you can activate by leaving the Nutrition Storage intact and engaging her.
- Spine Gloves are a definite upgrade to the Spiked Gloves. However, unless your group outgears the dungeon by a large margin, you'll need to do quite decent damage before you can kill Noxxara in hard mode.
- You need to have several Spider Webs to craft the Sharp Spine Spikes, so don't throw them away. Spider Webs drop from all spiders in the Hollow Tree
After the Hollow Tree, you can get Lizard Scale Gloves in the High Plains. These are similar to the Rugged Tiger Gloves that Cladt drops.
- Leave Saliko Village and head north-east, past the chapel. To make Lizard Scale Gloves, you need to get Iridescent Lizard Scales from the lizards.
- While you are there, look out for a small cave, which is where Coren lives. He'll give you several quests that'll help you level up.
Casper, in the Forlorn Manor, drops the Immaterial Blade, which has high attack and helps with damage a lot.
- The Forlorn Manor is a level 20 dungeon in the Snow Plains. You need a key to get in, which you can obtain by completing the quest chain that Rina offers you. The quest chain ends with defeating Frigus, a boss in the Snow Plains.
- Most monsters in the Forlorn Manor are ghosts. In order to actually damage them effectively, you need an elemental glove, which you can obtain from Frigus as well.
These are, more or less, the main gloves to look out for. All of them do decent damage, however: a well enchanted and refined Spine Glove will come very close to the damage that the Immaterial Blade will do. Just play and pick up items as you go along, enchant and refine them - and you'll always do competitive damage with whatever items you have. :3
