Mage battle tactics-advanced
Being a mage requires skill and power, in this tutorial i will explain the more advanced things to consider while fighting in Pvp. The first part of the tutorial will explain what you should do when you are fighting another mage.
Mage vs. Mage
When fighting another mage, you should consider the following.
* A mage needs mana to attack- figure out ways that makes them waste there mana or to conserve yours.
* Found out what element your opponent is using ex. (fire-bolt, thunderbolt, etc.)
* Depending on there element, find out what spells they know; and what order they use them in. For example do they know Flash Freeze and Thunderbolt; or Embers and Ignite. Do they know mana shield? If they do plan your attacks around that, try to drain there mana as fast as possible, and as quick as you can before they realize what you're doing. Do they know Disrupt Magic? If they do watch them very closely when you are casting spells, you don't want to be disrupted!
* One of the most important things to know about being a mage is that in order to win you have to know your opponent, you have to know there spells, how they use them and how to counteract there spells. You have to know what strategy works for each mage, for one strategy wont work for all of them!

Skill Usage
Thunderbolt is generally the mage spell of choice against water element monsters. It is less effective against wind and earth element monsters.

Thunderbolt benefits from the effects of the following skills:

Flash Freeze and Frost Nova: Frozen targets are Water 3, so Thunderbolt will receive a 75% damage bonus.

Overcharge: If skill points are allocated into Overcharge, then each Thunderbolt attack will inflict one "Lightning Change" debuff onto the target. The "Lightning Charge" debuffs can then be removed by Lightning Rod to regenerate a % of mana per "Lightning Charge" absorbed. Alternatively, if the "Lightning Charge" debuffs are not removed, every fifth Thunderbolt will deal 25% additional damage.

Info about Thunderbolt
Thunderbolt can be used in a variety of ways.

# The first (and most obvious) is to directly attack your opponent. Thunderbolt is not known for overpowering damage, although it still does a considerable amount! In Pvp it is unlikely that you will succeed in killing your opponent with just thunderbolt.
# Thunderbolt is one of the few spells that has a knock-back. Knock-back is when your opponent is knocked backward from you, (8 meters). This is more useful than it appears, warriors need to be up close to do damage, which means knocking them back distances them from you. The knock-back effect can be had to obtain for lower level people (1-20). Items that give the knock-back effect are; Lucy's Tiara, Coronet of the tempest, Charm of Thunder, and the Thorny bramble hat.
# Another way to use thunderbolt is by using Flash Freeze which freezes your opponent for a limited amount of time. Because wind element damage is super effective against water, your damage from thunderbolt is increased if you hit your opponent while frozen. This can be very useful in combat. The combo of Flash Freeze and thunderbolt if common just as much as embers and ignite are.
# Thunderbolt can be upgraded 8 times and has moderate damage, a 1.5 second cast time, and a 1 second cool down. As good as its damage is, it only really becomes noticeable around the 6th and 7th upgrade for thunderbolt.

Base Damage

I. Thunderbolt can be used in a variety of ways.
a. The first (and most obvious) is to directly attack your opponent. Thunderbolt is not known for overpowering damage, although it still does a considerable amount! In Pvp it is unlikely that you will succeed in killing your opponent with just thunderbolt.
b. Thunderbolt is one of the few spells that has a knock-back. Knock-back is when your opponent is knocked backward from you, (8 meters). This is more useful than it appears, warriors need to be up close to do damage, which means knocking them back distances them from you. The knock-back effect can be had to obtain for lower level people (1-20). Items that give the knock-back effect are; Lucy's Tiara, Coronet of the tempest, Charm of Thunder, and the Thorny bramble hat.
c. Another way to use thunderbolt is by using Flash Freeze which freezes your opponent for a limited amount of time. Because wind element damage is super effective against water, your damage from thunderbolt is increased if you hit your opponent while frozen. This can be very useful in combat. The combo of Flash Freeze and thunderbolt if common just as much as embers and ignite are.
d. Thunderbolt can be upgraded 8 times and has moderate damage, a 1.5 second cast time, and a 1 second cool down. As good as its damage is, it only really becomes noticeable around the 6th and 7th upgrade for thunderbolt.
