Burning Determination

Burning determination fills you, increasing health by 20% and decreasing damage taken by 50% for 15 seconds.

Skill Usage
Burning Determination is necessary on all sorts of tanking builds, for it's ability to survive in harsh situations. Not only does it increase your maximum health slightly, it reduces damage taken by 50% at the time, acting as if you had double of your current health. Burning Determination does not consume any Fury, but has a long cooldown of 5 minutes (it becomes 4 minutes at Lv. 3).
Burning Determination can be applied to two major situations:
- When you're at low health and your healer is in trouble, Burning Determination will allow you to survive for much longer. This gives the healer a longer window of opportunity to restore your health back.
- Withstanding a deadly AoE or multi-attack spell from an enemy that your healer will have trouble trying to heal against. An example of this is the Napalm Torrent skill from the Space Station boss.
Red Gemstone Effect
Direct the damage received by all nearby friendly targets to you for five seconds (up to 30+15*Lvl% of your maximum health).
Any damage that your allies receive will be inflicted to you instead, up to a given amount of your maximum health (using the formula provided).
Notes
- Any healing effects, such as Revitalise and Heal applied on you by a priest while the effects of Burning Determination are active will be increased by 30%.
- At level 28, Charm of Immutable Strength will restore your current health to exactly 25% of your maximum health (if it falls under that value) when using Burning Determination.
- Blessed Potion of Warding increases the duration of Burning Determination by 6 seconds. Bone Collar increases the duration of Burning Determination by 4 seconds, and restores 5% of your maximum health upon use.
