How to know if online ¥( or not! )¥

So i searched for a character and went to their profile. But how do I know if
ther'e online or not? I cant play or even log on to the acual game, just post, unfortunatly. HELP!

You cannot see if someone is online on their profile; would seem pretty creepy if someone could talk my profile and see if I'm online or not. o.o

If you are in-game, you can add another player to your friends, and get a notification once they come on (unless they set themselves as 'show offline', in which case you can only tell they're on if you cross paths).
