Critical Strike (also referred to as critical hits) is one of the possible outcomes of attacks and abilities, along with misses and regular hits.

Critical Strikes bypass any armor and defense. In addition, spells that are critical strikes do 50% more damage than usual. Players can increase the chance to deal, and reduce the chance to receive critical strikes by increasing their Agility stat for physical attacks, and their Intellect stat for magic spells. Certain items give a critical strike bonus, to increase the chance as well.

If a target is sitting or laying down, any attacks against them will always be critical strikes.

Note that recovery spells can also critically heal, recovering 50% more than usual.
