Save points usually go unnoticed - they are locations that you return if the map your character is on becomes invalid.

This can happen under the following circumstances:

  • You respawn in a map, and the game server cannot determine any nearby safe location to respawn you on. This is almost always bug.
  • You join a battleground from an unofficial map, and that map expires while you are in the battleground, preventing you from returning to it.
  • You join a battleground from inside the dungeon, and when the battle finishes and you return, the dungeon is full, or a boss encounter is in progress.
  • You join a battleground while knocked out. This will revive you, but instead of returning you to your previous map, you will be sent to your save point.

Save points are typically set to the last village you have been in.
