Those are remnant of the second play test, when people started out as Flower Spirits, outside the cave.
In order to not make the first cave map too difficult, I set the zombies so that they wouldn't reset.
These days that doesn't make a whole lot of sense anymore, since players should be well levelled by the time they get to the cave, so that the first level barely poses a threat anyway (though, if you saw a half-dead zombie, whoever fought it probably wasn't too lucky). I'll change it, so they'll reset once again - thanks. :3
