The Halloween events are drawing to a close - so if you have not done the quests for this year's Halloween yet, you have until the end of this upcoming weekend (after the 23rd) to do so. Keep in mind - one of the quests does lead you into the Monastery, so plan to have an instance available if you do need it.
Once the events have ended, a few things will change about Darneus as well - he is a Halloween boss, after all. I don't want to take the boss out of action for the whole year, like with Danae, so after the weekend, the following will happen:
- You can no longer accept or hand in the event quests (until next Halloween). That also means you cannot summon Darneus, unless you are far enough in the quest line to do so.
- If you are far enough in the quest line to summon Darneus, you can summon him for your groups and defeat him.
- The lockout time on the dungeon will be increased to probably 3-5 days. It's a Halloween boss, so it should be more rare outside that event. The lockout just affects the map of the boss, and not the rest of the dungeon.
- The drop rate for the pet will be decreased (from 40% to 10% or so).
Also, the Mindless Zombie for this Halloween has already returned to the dark depths of the night, so Jak's minions are quite busy counting the number of bites for everyone. ;P
