I changed the pattern shop a bit, so that when you get a pattern, you have 30 minutes during which you can switch to different patterns, and automatically get refunded the gold for the previous one you tried out.
For example:
- You get a skunk pattern, which is 75 gold - so it takes the gold, and lets you know you have 30 minutes to switch.
- You then decide you get a husky pattern, which is also 75 gold. Since it is the same price, you can just switch to it, without paying any more gold (it gives you back 75, and takes 75).
- You then decide to get a fox pattern, which is 125 gold. Since it costs 50 gold more, you only pay that difference (it gives back 75, and takes 125).
- You then settle on the Siamese pattern, which is 10 gold. Since it's 115 gold less, you get that much back (it gives back 125 and takes 10).
After going through all these, you basically paid 10 gold, even though you switched through four different patterns, because the one you ended up getting only costs that much.
This also works with combined patterns (so if you get a Siamese pattern and a shorter tail for 20 gold, and then end up getting only the Siamese pattern, you get 10 gold back).
