So I'm fairly new to the forums so bare with me - I have no idea if there is a 'PM' feature. aha... I also realized when I replied to what I thought was an admins comment I just spammed someone else's topic. My answers may get answered there but just to be on the safe side i'm going to make a topic. I think i'm doing this right? If you have questions post a topic. Haha. Alright...

I'm very confused about how we're suppose to color over it. It says not to delete the blue hue or else it'll mess the color combinations up, etc. So I made a layer above the sprites and colored them all blue and put the layer on "add" making it a brighter color. I then put a layer on top of that, my pattern, and marked it as multiply. Is this what you guys meant to do?

Here's a picture of what I started to get done: http://sta.sh/0yefdi62k18

I was also wondering if someone could circle the parts for me that are the back leg frames and the front leg frames. I can't really tell a difference, sobs.

There's no PM feature on the forums - you can send mails through the mail boxes in-game, though.

As for the colours - you can draw on the colour layer, but the hue of the blue needs to remain the same (you can change the brightness and the saturation). All the shades of blue in the reference on the bottom right are safe - but there are many more you can use. ;P

Try using the colour picker on them, and see how they match positions in your colour palette - that should give you an idea what parts of the colour palette you can change safely.

The Wiki has a bit of info on this as well.

That would work perfectly. Keep in mind: the feet go over your torso, so the pattern there should be similar to what you have on your back.

The previous screenshot on your sta.sh would only work with a full-color pattern (those are un-dyeable, but they show exactly the colours you used).

Oh yes, I forgot to mention I'd like it on the account Ginger ale! I have the fancy magic box in my inventory.

Added in. Just a few things to keep in mind -

* One of the feet in the top row is a fore-foot. I recoloured it for you.
* The feet overlap the torso - in your file, the torso is yellow at the part where the back foot is, and the foot's brown. It'd look weird - so I coloured it brown there. If you really want your original file in it, let me know, I'll put it in unchanged.

One more thing: I added it in as dyeable. If you set your dye colour to 0 (same with ink and bleach), it'll look exactly like you drew it. If you change your dye colour, you can get some interesting effects. :3

I attached the changed file for you, in case you wanted to make any further modifications to it.
