The Ice Spirit Bottle

I have a quick question. I enchanted one of my hats with the ice spirit bottle. My target is only hit with icicles when I sometimes auto-attack it. Is that a coincidence, or do I need physical combat for the icicles to hit?

Correct, these effects all proc on physical damage at the moment - so you'd need to actually hit the target in melee for it to trigger.

So if i auto-attack it once, then use a ton of spells, will the icicles have a chance of hitting?

If you auto-attack, the icicles have a chance of hitting.
If you use a ton of spells afterwards, they don't.

I changed the behaviour for today's update, so the effect of the ice spirit bottle will trigger on offensive spell casts.
