How To: Check For Server Crash

The first sign that the server may have crashed is that you get disconnected out of the blue, and when you try logging in, the game client just times out and reports an error.

In order to check whether the server really crashed, follow these steps:

• Log into the backend and check whether the "Server Status" reads "crashed".
• The "Recent Output" field below will have a few dozen of lines starting with "==XXXXX==" from the memory debugger (XXXXX being the ID mentioned at the top of the backend page).
• At this point you can restart the server if you want (click "Start Server" at the bottom). If you do so, let me know that it crashed (the ID helps), otherwise I might miss it. Or, you just leave it and I'll probably notice fairly soon that it crashed.
