"Immune" is a possible outcome of any attack or spell, meaning that it was ineffective against the target. It is indicated by an "Immune" damage number coming from the character that was attacked, and, for spells that inflict status effects, as an error message ("Skill failed: the target is immune").

Unlike a regular resist, absorb, or a miss, a character that is immune will always remain immune, no matter how often you use the spell. For example, using Thunderbolt (a Wind spell) against a Wind 4 element monster will result in an "immune" damage number, because no matter how often you use Thunderbolt on it, it will never work.

Notes

  • Any element 4 (or higher) character is immune against attacks of that particular element. This is because based on the Elemental Property Table, damage is reduced by 100%, making it 0 no matter how high the damage was. Ghost is an exception, as ghost attacks work well against other attacks. Instead, a ghost 4 element monster will be immune against neutral element attacks.
  • Guardians, High-Guardians and Bosses are immune against any effects that impairs their movement (such as Overpower or Curse of Slowness), or that causes loss of control (such as Flash Freeze, Possess or Nightfall).
