Your Poison and Petal Rain leech up to a percentage of the damage dealt in mana from your target, and return it to you. This is a key spell if you plan on using Petal Rain and Poison, as it helps keep your mana high.

Skill Usage

Leeching Poison allows you to recover a portion of mana back depending on the damage you've dealt to the enemy. It is a must have spell for priests that focus on poison builds, as you'll need it to cast poison spells more frequently. Without it, your poison spells are prone to eating up your mana more quickly. Being a passive spell, you won't need to cast it (since other spells are already taking advantage of it's effects).

Because of this, it is recommended that your poison spells reach as much targets as possible to regenerate a large portion of your mana. For instance, dealing 500 damage each to five targets with Poison Dust will recover 200 of your mana back which is enough for a single cast of Petal Rain, as opposed to one target that would restore 40 mana back. Engaging targets that are weak to the poison element increases the damage dealt, further raising mana recovery.

Notes

  • Leeching Poison not only applies it's effect to poisonous spells, but to Petal Rain (despite dealing wind element damage) as well. Poisonous spells not normally obtained by your skill book and through spirit bottles are also affected by Leeching Poison, greatly enhancing their worth in battle.
