NPC: Kayne Skullbash
Kayne Skullbash is an NPC in Southern Seas' The Kraken. They are the first mate (top officer) of Wyatt Firebeard, who is the captain of the ship, The Kraken.
Unlocking Rock Island
Please note that The Kraken has two duplicate maps, each at a different dock: The Kraken (East Beach II Dock) and The Kraken (Rock Island Dock).
To unlock Rock Island, you must complete the event associated with the quest On to Rock Island. Upon accepting the quest, this will force the ship into an unskippable event where you have to complete one repeatable quest every day for 4 days in-game (after completing one repeatable quest, Kayne will offer you the option to move onto the next day). Note that Day 3 and 4 are difficult (as the monsters like to gang up on you), and Mr. Cotton (NPC on the deck) can revive you, but with a temporary debuff to your max HP that'll make it even harder should you be knocked out.
WARNING: If you or any member of your group accepts the repeatable quest On to Rock Island from Kayne while in the map, you and your group members lose access to Rock Island Beach until you complete the event associated with this quest (you cannot fix this bug simply by abandoning the quest).
- Day 1: Tastes of the Sea (open crates of food and collect firewood)
- Day 2: A Spotless Performance (clean the dirty spots on the ship)
- Day 3: On A Diet (kill the termites spoiling the food rations)
- Day 4: A Good Catch (defeat the monsters and collect food)
There is a trick to completing On to Rock Island quest quickly, but you'll need at least a friend or one other character with you.

- The Kraken (East Beach II Dock) is unable to access The Kraken B1. You must go to The Kraken (Rock Island Dock) to access it.
