Player versus Player are specific locations in the game world where players can attack each other (on regular maps, players cannot attack each other; abilities that would deal damage simply fail).

Outside of events and battlegrounds, Schwartzwald Castle is the one free-for-all area where everyone can attack everyone.

Battlegrounds, on the other hand, are team-based (and often referred to as Team vs. Team, or TvT). Players can queue up for any of them, by clicking on "Game" on the top of their screens, then on "Queue", and then selecting the appropriate battleground. Once enough players queued (usually eight), everyone is teleported to the battleground. At the moment, there are four different battlegrounds:

  • Elyssia Ridge - a classic capture the flag battleground
  • Saliko Outlands - a domination style battleground
  • The Battle for Schwartzwald Castle - a king of the hill style PvP event that starts once a day at 6:00 EST.
  • Siege of Brightheart - a battleground in which both teams take turns in attacking and defending Brightheart
  • Cheese Hunt - a tag match, in which players try to avoid getting tagged by whoever has the cheese ("it").

Random Battleground can be any of the above (except the Battle for Schwartzwald Castle).

Finally, guild battles occur twice a week: once on Tuesday, and once on Saturday, at 6:20 EST after the Battle for Schwartzwald Castle.
