A monster's or character's race is a rough classification of species (insect, brute, plant) it belongs to. It is completely separate and unrelated to its element, which may affect the character in its own way.
Race | Notes |
---|---|
Brute | Players are, by default, classified as brutes. [1] |
Plant | Plant-based monsters recover 10% additional health from revitalize. [1] |
Undead | Characters that are undead suffer damage from healing spells. In addition, using revive has a low chance to instantly kill them, no matter their remaining health. [2] [3] |
Demon | Similar to undead, light-based healing spells will damage them, however other healing spells, such as Revitalize, will work. [3] [2] |
Mechanical | Mechanical characters cannot recover health through normal means, and have to be repaired instead. In addition, they have a 25% resistance of the sleep status effect. |
Formless | The duration of root spells cast against formless characters is reduced by 25%. [4] |
Elemental | [4] |
Insect | [1] |
