Hiya,
If a pet kills a monster entirely by yourself, it will not drop any loot, nor yield any experience. That is on purpose, to protect against people being able to go AFK on a map with hostile monsters and have their pets leech them.
The only thing that has been fixed was that you receive credit in MT if your pet killed the rare monster. Loot and experience are not affected by that change.
