Skill Usage

Flash Freeze is an immobilizing spell that does not deal damage itself, but prevents the target from performing any action until they thaw or recieve damage. Players may be frozen for up to 8 seconds, while monsters may not thaw until 40 seconds have passed. Frozen entities are temporarily water element, causing them to take additional damage from Wind and Earth elemental attacks.

Notes

  • Flash Freeze is commonly used alongside Thunderbolt, as Water element targets will take an additional 50-75% of damage from Wind spells.
  • Any players currently frozen will not take damage from the AOE spell Blizzard.
  • Any direct hits (such as melee attacks, or fire bolts) will shatter the ice. However, unlike Nightfall, damage over time effects (such as Slash) will not break the spell.
  • Flash Freeze may be dispelled by a Mage who knows the skill Dispel Magic or by using a Schwartzwald Trinket.
