The welcome zombie is located in the Deep Mines, far east of Saliko Village.
Some players just press the "right" arrow key for five minutes, to wait and see what happens. Eventually they end up as a level 1 in the East Caves, where they will usually be welcomed by a level 8 undead mine worker that knocks them out in four swings - hence the name "Welcome Zombie".
Once they wake up and realize that one cannot beat the game by pressing right, they try to get past them, and usually notice the portal that leads them deeper down into the dungeon part of the East Caves - the Deep Mines. On the way there, they are greeted by the a masked undead with eleven times as much health as they have, and six times their melee strength - the second welcome zombie. After that encounter, much sorrow and rage is had.
