Skill Usage
Thunderbolt is generally the mage spell of choice against water element monsters. It is less effective against wind and earth element monsters.
Thunderbolt benefits from the effects of the following skills:
Flash Freeze and Frost Nova: A frozen target will have Water 3 added to their type. Thus, Thunderbolt will receive a 75% damage bonus.
Overcharge: If skill points are allocated into Overcharge, then each Thunderbolt attack will inflict one "Lightning Change" debuff onto the target. The "Lightning Charge" debuffs can then be removed by Lightning Rod to regenerate a % of mana per "Lightning Charge" absorbed. Alternatively, if the "Lightning Charge" debuffs are not removed, every fifth Thunderbolt will deal 25% additional damage.
