New Year

The New Year is an event that takes place in Ashaya Village during the end of December to the beginning of January. It occurs after the Christmas events, but before the Star Shower Festival events. Players can travel to the top of Galepeak without having to go through a blizzard to see the fireworks show take place. If not, they can watch the view of the fireworks at a distance before entering the Cave to Midnight Mountain area, but will not earn the trophy for it (if they haven't done so already before).

Event Details

At the top of Galepeak, several friendly bats roam around the top-left cliff of the map, with no hostile monsters in sight. Players can ride these bats to float in the sky for a better view of the fireworks that are happening. It occurs at 11 PM in-game time (which can be viewed by using the /time command) until midnight. The fireworks show occurs more than once.

Kay, with a event quest (that can be repeated yearly) asks you to travel to Galepeak to defeat mineralized spirits and obtain their powder. Upon completing the quest will offer you a selection of various fireworks.

Erik in Saliko Village sells differently colored rockets (fireworks) at a cheap price during the duration of the New Year's events.
