St. Patrick's Day
St. Patrick's Day is an event that takes place in the middle of March. It occurs in Saliko Village, and to a lesser extent in Ashaya Village. Players are encouraged to run around Saliko, in the hopes of collecting as much nuggets as they can to exchange in for rewards. Coren in A Small Cave in the High Plains sells St. Patrick's Day items for gold nuggets as long as you have one of them in your inventory. During this event period, the High Plains located in Saliko is a popular destination for most nugget-seekers.
Participation Details
Players at this time will be actively looking for nuggets, as they are invisible to you unless you are close in proximity to one. If they are not searching for nuggets, then they may want to do the event quests.
In Saliko Village, if you have obtained a Green Felt Hat from the spirit, you can talk to one of the NPC's to upgrade it to a Green Celebrative Hat.
In Ashaya Village, helping out Kay will give you a Clover Tabard as part of the St. Patrick's Day celebrations.
One can also join into the world event "Pot Luck", which randomly occurs during the day in the middle of Saliko Forest. The objective of this world event is to defeat a Greater Forest Spirit while scaled. Defeating the spirit will drop a Green Felt Hat. There is an optional objective that you can do in the middle of joining this world event, as long as the boss is still up. When the spirit uses Toss Pot in the middle of battle, several gold pots will spawn on the map with one of three effects that center on the Pot Luck buff. Each stack of this buff will increase your damage slightly for the duration of the fight and reward you with some silver (to a max of 25 gold) as long as you defeat the spirit with this buff up. Here are each of the pot effects:
- Add or remove one stack (if you have 10 stacks, it will either increase it to 11 or decrease it to 9)
- Double or nothing (if you have 10 stacks, it will either double to 20 stacks or cause you to have 0 stacks)
- Protect one, remove half (if you currently have 10 stacks, it'll cut you down to 5 stacks, but prevent you from losing stacks once)
Defeating the Greater Forest Spirit will also give you some lottery ticket scratchcards. Using them will result in gold coins, silver, a void lottery ticket that can be sold, or a special hat.
