Summons a strong lightning bolt, dealing wind elemental damage to every opponent in the targeted area. Excellent against large groups of water and fire element monsters.

Skill Usage

Lightning Bolt is an burst damage AoE skill used by mages often against groups of water element monsters. It strikes three times to each target surrounding the area of the blast. In addition, the damage is gradually diminished if targets caught in the lightning bolt are further away from the center. With it's low cooldown accompanied with high mana consumption, Lightning Bolt is capable of finishing off monsters in little time.

Lightning Bolt benefits from the following skills added effects:

Frost Nova: Lightning Bolt can be paired with Frost Nova to dish out a damage bonus of 50-75% on multiple frozen targets (Wind has a elemental advantage against Water level 2 or 3).

Wind Burst and Thunderbolt: If skill points are allocated into Wind Burst, affected enemies are caught in Mist, increasing their damage taken from a Lightning Bolt by 25% for six seconds. The combo of effects continue when a Lightning Bolt is used on a target afflicted with Mist, causing them to suffer Conductivity for three seconds. Conductivity causes the next Thunderbolt you cast on the target to deal 50% more damage and become stunned for two seconds.

Notes

  • Lightning Bolt is one of the few skills possessing a innate knockback effect allowing it to push several monsters at once, but much weaker when it comes to a Thunderbolt with an added knockback effect (from a charm or equipment) against a single monster.
