A key ability that causes your target to fall asleep. Only one target can be asleep at once, and any damage towards it will break it's effect. Use to stop an enemy from attacking you.

Skill Usage

Nightfall is a crowd control spell that is useful even to healing priests - essentially, it causes an enemy fall asleep for a certain time, as long as they do not receive any damage. At level 2, Nightfall can take a target out of combat for up to 40 seconds. Against players, they can fall asleep for up to 8 seconds.

Sleeping targets will wake up immediately after receiving damage, unlike Flash Freeze where it takes a few seconds for the monster to thaw out afterwards. Sleep does not cause a monster to change their element.

Notes

  • Nightfall can be used after casting Divine Clarity to instantly put a target to sleep. This can come in handy against targets that can easily interrupt you during your spell cast.
  • Any direct hits (e.g. melee attacks, attack spells) and damage over time effects (such as Slash) will immediately break the spell.
  • Due to the spell's affinity with toxicology, it can be removed with Cure Poison (it is classified as a poison type of debuff).
