Skill Usage

Nourish is a spell meant to increase the damage of Holy Fire and refresh the duration to full on a target already affected with it. It is relatively cheap to use, and is important for maintaining Holy Fire. Nourish is what makes Holy Fire so powerful against a single target, if it is kept.

The spell has two effects, being:

  • Passively increasing the damage of Holy Fire so that Holy Fire's base damage becomes the same as Nourish's (this effect is not shown via description). This is not treated as one of the five times your damage is increased.
  • When Nourish is used, increases Holy Fire's base damage on the target by the amount of Nourish's base damage. You could think of the passive effect as one stack, and once this spell is used five times on the target, Holy Fire's damage will be at 6 stacks (or multiply base damage by 6).

When Nourish is used more than five times against the same target (already affected with Holy Fire), Nourish will no longer increase Holy Fire's damage, but will continue to refresh the duration of it to full. In addition, Nourish will restore 5% of your base mana as a result, so it pays to keep your Holy Fire going on the target.

Notes

  • Nourish only affects one target with Holy Fire at a time. You may use Nourish to juggle the refreshing effect between two monsters, but it is difficult to maintain. It is impossible to use Nourish to refresh more than two targets, because of the cooldown (Nourish is 8 seconds) and duration (Holy Fire lasts 18 seconds at most). Therefore, it is recommended for a Priest to focus their Nourish on one target at once.
