Range 4 meters
Cooldown 7 seconds

Skill Usage

Ignite is a burst damage skill that deals high fire element damage to a monster that is already affected by your Embers, restoring roughly half of the damage dealt as mana. Ignite is affected by Infernal Heat, and is often used alongside Fire Bolt and Embers against a single monster.

Ignite is a skill used in combination with Embers, requiring the effect of Embers first on a monster before Ignite can be used on them. If you do not cast Embers before Ignite is used, the skill will fail, wasting precious mana and leaving Ignite on cooldown. This combination is important to a Mage using Fire skills, allowing you to restore mana without relying entirely on Harvest Mana.

Blue Gemstone Effect

The intense heat startles your target, disrupting their currently cast spell.

The effect acts similar to Disrupt Magic, causing your Ignite to disrupt the target, as well as inflict damage and restore mana. The effect will fail if Ignite does not meet the current requirements on the target.

Notes

  • At level 28, Charm of Eternal Flame can be equipped, allowing your Fire Bolt to have a 50% chance of refreshing Ember's duration on the target (that you used Fire Bolt on) to full. This allows you to "fire-and-forget", by only having to use Embers once and making accessibility to Ignite much easier without accidentally failing.
  • When a friendly target (such as a player, pet or NPC) uses Embers themselves, you cannot use their Embers effect to activate Ignite without your own version of Embers. This prevents you from bypassing your own Embers to immediately use Ignite.
