Skill Usage

Disrupting Shot is a key situational skill that prevents a monster or boss from carrying out one of their skills during their cast. Although instantaneous to use, the skill's attack is delayed for another 1.5 to 2 seconds before it actually hits the target. Hunters must use this skill early to ensure that the attack is actually interrupted, or risk failing to stop the cast. Upon contact, the arrow inflicts damage equal to 50% of your ranged attack (further reduced to 25% if too close to the enemy). It consumes 25 Endurance when used.

Unlike Disrupt Magic from mages which can only counter magical spells, Disrupting Shot can prevent both physical and magical spells. Disrupting Shot shares it's interrupting capabilities with skills from other classes such as the Warrior's Smite and the Priest spell Curse of Silence.

Notes

  • Hunters receive double the cooldown out of any other class's interrupt skill, with a cooldown of 30 seconds (15 seconds for other classes).
  • There are some spells that cannot be interrupted at all, often indicated by a shield icon next to the casting bar.
  • Few bosses are immune to being interrupted with entirely, or has a limit to the number of interrupts it can receive before becoming fully immune to them. A particular monster such as the Beholder (from Blackwood Depths) can interrupt all spells at close proximity if it is not already suffering from freeze or sleep.

Level

  • Silence applying only to same school as spell interrupted.
