Skill Usage
Focused Strike is an attack skill used by DPS Warriors to complement their damage by sharply increasing their critical chance for 5 seconds. It consumes 35 Fury. At higher levels, the skill further multiplies your current critical chance, resulting in more critical strikes happening.
It's potential is often superseded by other Warrior skills such as Bite by simply spamming the skill until you have five stacks for a max of 25% damage, or a skill like Overpower that increases your physical attack for five seconds as well as debuffing the target, causing them to take further damage. However, when you look at the disadvantages of both Bite and Overpower, Overpower has double the cooldown of Focused Strike and Bite demands 150 Fury (30 x 5) to reach five stacks starting from zero. This makes Focused Strike more of a balanced approach to increasing your damage.
Notes
- Note that the critical chance is multiplicative. This means that it adds on an additional 110% of your critical chance. For example, if you had 10% critical chance, the skill would give you 11%, resulting in 21% critical chance.
