Skill Usage
Fire Hail is a AoE skill that deals fire element damage every second for 8 seconds against enemies within the targeted area. Due to it's long vertical range, it may be capable of hitting enemies that are one platform above you. While it has a great deal of damage output, one drawback is quickly consuming a high amount of mana. Like Blizzard, the skill has to be channeled down for it's duration for you to use it, preferable to Mages that dislike having to repeatedly spam Fire Bolt.
It is affected by Infernal Heat. Fire Hail is used with skills such as Fire Wall for a instant spike in DPS and utilizing the combo with Embers and Ignite to restore the mana that was lost.
Notes
- While you are channeling the spell, you shouldn't move early or else it will break the cast, wasting precious mana and potential damage dealt to the enemy. Try to use it when you know that the monster and/or boss won't cast a deadly area spell during that time.
