Freezes 25% of your mana in an ice mana crystal, which is charged up by using your ice spells. As long as you have a frozen mana crystal, you can use this ability to regain mana from it again.

Mana Crystal extends your mana pool by consuming 25% of your existing mana and storing it into a crystal companion that follows you around. That 25% you lost can easily be recovered back simply by laying down to rest right before a battle, essentially giving you 125% mp to spare.
The crystal snapshots the total amount of mana you have at the time of summoning it, holding 25% of your max mp, but storing up to 33%. For example, a mage with 4,000 mana stores 1,000 in the crystal, but the crystal can hold up to 1,333. Using the skill again or clicking on the crystal UI at the edge of your screen withdraws up to 25% of your mana's worth (1,000) for use. If you have 25% or less mana in the crystal, it will disappear on a withdrawal, but it will not disappear if you have more than 25%. This is important to note.
Whenever you attack a monster with specifically Icicle and/or Frigid Splash while Mana Crystal is out, a small amount of mana is refunded back to your crystal on each hit per monster. This amount can be increased in real-time whenever you are standing in Mist of Ice. The idea is to spam Icicle & keep Frigid Splash active to refund your mana, so that once your crystal reaches more than 25% mana capacity, you can withdraw from it again and continue the cycle.
Notes
- Mana Crystal can also be used with Mana Explosion, exploding the crystal and inflicting all of the mana stored in it as damage to nearby targets.
- Clicking on your mana crystal reveals a buff attached to it, showing how much mana is present in the crystal currently. This is measured by the gauge on the mana crystal icon (appearing on the side of your screen when you use the skill initially). It is a shortcut to using your mana crystal to restore mana when you click on the icon, without needing to use your key for it.
- The mana crystal can be destroyed by other players in PvP, causing that player who created it to lose their mana stored into it. Destroying it can prevent a Mana Explosion from being cast. Outside of PvP, the mana crystal is invulnerable and cannot be destroyed by other monsters.
Level
Mana Crystal requires a minimum of 12 points in Ice skills before it can be unlocked.
