Skill Usage
Shadowstep allows the character to teleport a short distance to anywhere within 1.8 or 3.3 metres of their current location. Unlike Skip that can only teleport forward, it can also be used to quickly ascend or descend nearby platforms, given that is within reach. However, it cannot be used while you are rooted by Curse of Roots or Root Trap. Consumes 40 Endurance.
When paired with Sprint, a Hunter can easily outmaneuver opponents in maps with multiple platforms. Shadowstep provides vertical movement, while Sprint provides horizontal movement.
Notes
- The formula for Shadowstep's cooldown is 3 + [12 x (distance/castrange)]. For example, with a level 2 Shadowstep, if my cursor's range away from my character was 2 metres, then 3 + [12 x (2/3.3)] = 10 seconds (rounded down from 10.27 seconds).
