Denouncing the light, you increase the damage from dark spells and your armor, while reducing the cast time lost from damage. Enables dark element skills. Disables light element skills while active.

Skill Usage

Dark Pact is an active spell that can be toggled on or off, enabling access to the rest of the dark spells, increasing dark damage dealt, as well as a few other effects at the cost of light-related spells. When toggled off, the user loses half of their maximum mana. There is no time limit to the spell, and can only be removed by disabling it, or forcibly through death or logging out.

The minimum skill level to gain access to all of the dark spells is 3. There are other spells that gain additional effects from Dark Pact:

• Possess, a spell learned at later levels requires at least level 3 of Dark Pact in order to possess Brute-type monsters.
• Inspiration, a buff spell can be turned into Dark Inspiration by simply having Dark Pact enabled, increasing attack and magic values at half of what you would gain from Inspiration in strength and intellect. These two buffs do not stack with each other.

Notes

• While Dark Pact is active, certain spells are disabled and cannot be used. This includes the following:
  • Heal
  • Surge of Light
  • Bond of Healing
  • Divine Clarity
  • Judgement
  • Holy Fire

• If you choose to obtain a spell that would be disabled by Dark Pact, then activate Dark Pact, that spell will be marked as unavailable or on a cooldown for an indefinite period of time. Disabling Dark Pact would take those same spells off cooldown, however by doing so, you lose half of your mana.
