Skill Branch | Toxicology |
Available at | Level 3 |
Prerequisites | Petal Rain Lv. 1 |
Range | 1 meter |
Cooldown | 1 second |
Skill Usage
A damage over time skill that inflicts poison damage on an enemy for up to 12 seconds. In addition, it applies a minor debuff effect, decreasing the speed at which they can move and their physical attack power by 5%. Despite it's requirement to engage the enemy at close range, it can deal a heavy amount of damage at higher levels. A powerhouse spell against single targets for poison priest builds, with moderate mana consumption.
Poison can be combined together with Poison Dust to double the amount dealt over time to a target. It can be utilized as part of a hit-and-run strategy to minimize the damage taken.
Notes
- Slash, a Warrior skill is remarkably similar to Poison due to it's high damage over time properties.
- At level 25, Charm of Nurturing Rain allows Petal Rain to have a 50% of refreshing the duration of Poison on the enemy.
- It is possible to solo bosses by exploiting their vulnerability to slow with a hit and run strategy, combining spells like Curse of Slowness, Poison, Leeching Poison, Holy Fire, Nourish and Revitalize. The Charm of Nurturing Rain, a pet with Curse of Slowness and/or Spike Trap supplements this.
- First, apply Curse of Slowness and/or Spike Trap, then Poison up close. Now, as long as you throw a few Petal Rains to trigger the charm's effect, you don't have to worry about getting close to the boss. Apply Holy Fire and keep strengthening it with Nourish. Repeat as necessary, and remember to Revitalise yourself.
